Boards are 16mm thick. A 150mm board with a 16mm gap covers 166mm of fence, so a 12m run takes about 73 boards. Butted with no gaps it takes about 80.

The best way in
- Turn in by Rosen and the Breedon Concrete plant.
- From Wideopen or the A1 (Gosforth Park / North Brunton junction): get onto Sandy Lane and head towards the airport and equestrian centre. Don't turn in at the Newcastle Recycling Centre end: it's busy with recycling traffic and people get lost. Keep going along Sandy Lane to the Breedon Concrete entrance.
- From Dinnington (airport behind you, heading towards Wideopen): turn in at the Breedon Concrete entrance. Don't carry on to the Recycling Centre end.
- Follow the road round the bend. As soon as the first bend starts to straighten, we're straight down the lane on your left. Look for our signs on the main road through the estate.

Fence board questions
How many fence boards do I need?
Divide your fence length by the board width plus the gap. With 150mm boards and a 16mm gap that's about 6 boards per metre. The counter above works it out for you.
What does "no gaps" mean?
Boards butted edge to edge for full privacy. It takes more boards: about 7 per metre with 150mm boards.
Which length do I need?
Match the board to your fence height: 1.8m boards for a 6ft fence, 1.5m for 5ft, 1.2m for 4ft.
Can I collect today?
Usually, if you pre-order online or by phone and we confirm it's in stock and ready. Collection is Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4pm. Please wait for our message that your order is ready. Walk-ins are welcome, but without a pre-order we can't promise stock will be there. Tap Google Maps or Apple Maps under "Get our exact location" for our exact pin. The postcode alone takes sat navs to the wrong place.
Where will you leave my order?
We deliver to your address and will put it on your drive where it's safe and possible. Where we can't, it's left at the kerbside. Full details are in our delivery terms.
